Hand engraved acrylic and Japanese South Sea pearl necklace. Designed and made to order in our Sydney studio.
Due to the complexity of this piece, it takes 4 to 6 weeks to complete from order date.
Every acrylic square is hand engraved individually on one side with a flower and on the other with a sunray. Each square is then hand drilled on all 4 corners to allow the sterling silver chain to crisscross every piece.
Once finished, every chain intersection inside and outside the acrylic squares is riveted with black nylon, to add detail and structural integrity.
The outside contour of the necklace is then draped with a row of Japanese South Sea baroque pearls suspended from the chain links using sterling silver head pins.
The necklace uses an "S" hook at the back and can be adjusted for different lengths.
One of the end acrylic squares is laser engraved with JOAO VAZ.
