Hand engraved acrylic and glass cabochons bracelet. Designed and made to order in our Sydney studio.
Every acrylic plaque is hand engraved with a different pattern inspired by the Sun and textile prints. They are then hand drilled to allow the gold-filled chain to to crisscross every piece at both ends.
Once finished, every chain intersection inside the acrylic pieces is riveted with black nylon, to add detail and structural integrity.
Once the acrylic pieces are chained together a glass cabochon handmade in our Sydney studio is placed at the centre of every piece.
The glass cabochons are set using a specially developed system inspired by the stone setting technique "bezel setting". The pressure created by the acrylic holds the glass in place, without the use of glue or any other material.
The bracelet closes with two lobster clasps and can be adjusted for different lengths.
The end acrylic piece is laser engraved on the back with JOAO VAZ.
