William Blake Quote Infinity Posie Wedding Ring in Sterling Silver

William Blake Quote Infinity Posie Wedding Ring in Sterling Silver

Sterling silver wedding ring. Designed and made to order in our Sydney studio.

The term "posie ring" describes a ring with a short inscription on its surface. They were popular during the 15th through the 17th centuries in both England and France as lovers' gifts.

This ring was designed using rendering software before being 3D printed and cast in sterling silver.

The inscription in this ring is an adaptation of William Blake's poem "The Clod and the Pebble" and reads: "Love for another gives it's ease, and builds a heaven in hell's despair".

The original poem verse reads:

Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hell's despair.

After being cast in solid sterling silver the ring is high polished by hand.

The ring's band is also engraved on the inside with: JOAO VAZ 925 (925 is the standard numerical stamp that notes what precious metal has been used).

Designed with the idea to be used as a wedding band, it can also be worn for other occasions.
