Structure Project - 2003 (Both the portfolio and work disappeared at the end of the academic year)

Project Brief: Design and produce an artefact/s based on the explorartion of structures either in nature, architecture or engineering.

I didn't consider structure to be a very interesting subject and tried to manipulate the project in order to develop and translate areas of importance to me. The final work consisted of two neckpieces, the first touching the wearer's neck and the second floating in the air supported by magnets.

Cause And Effect - 2003 (Both the portfolio and work disappeared at the end of the academic year)

Project Brief: Design nd make a piece of work inspired by the effect of one action or element upon another.

These pieces were all I wanted, broken glass, fish bones, beads, pearls, paganism, sexuality, pierced metal and stone setting. I had embraced profusion. In the end the cause /effect theme was virtually absent and the final work was formed of 3 brooches (pictures above), various sets of images that changed from Van Gogh paintings to the last 10 USA Presidents, which connected to the brooches using metal modules.

Chocolate Earrings - 2002

Project Brief: Use the skills learnt to design and produce a pair of drop earrings, concentrating on sculptural and three-dimentional forms.

I didn't know where to take the projec creatively and decided to use food for the second time (the first had been back in Portugal). The earrings were a success amongst lectures and my classmates, but i was disappointed with myself.
